Yes, we recommend booking in advance, especially during the high season. We run small-group tours to provide the best possible experience.
2. How early should I arrive before the tour?
Please arrive 15 minutes before the tour starts.
3. Where does the tour start and end?
The tour starts right at the entrance to The Witchery by the Castle, address:
352 Castlehill, Edinburgh EH1 2NF.
The tour finishes near the Princess Steet
4. Can I cancel my tour?
Yes, you can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the tour.
After this time, the booking becomes non-refundable.
5. Can I change the date of my reservation?
Yes, you can change your tour date up to 24 hours before the tour.
After that, the tour becomes non-refundable and non-changeable.
6. Is the tour suitable for people with disabilities?
Due to uneven terrain, the tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility.
7. Is there an age limit?
There is no strict age limit, but due to the nature of the tour, we recommend a minimum age of 12.
8. What if I’m running late for the tour?
We will try to help you join the group along the route.

9. How long does the tour last?
The tour lasts approximately 2.5 hours, and sometimes it may run slightly longer.
10. What should I wear or bring on a tour in Edinburgh?
We recommend comfortable shoes, a waterproof jacket, an umbrella and layered clothing. Edinburgh’s weather changes quickly, so be prepared for rain and wind.
11. Can I customise a private tour?

Yes, you can join part way, but the price remains the same.

Yes, tours run in all weather conditions.
Bookings can be cancelled up to 24 hours before the tour — after that, tickets are non-refundable.
14. Are tickets refundable if I miss the tour?
No, tickets are non-refundable after the 24-hour window, but you may join the tour along the route if possible.
15. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit and debit cards, as well as cash if the tour is purchased directly on the Royal Mile from our team.
